Provision of advanced medical training equipment and supplies will equip a new Medical Capacity Building Training Center being built within the existing Ain Wazein Medical Village (AWMV) and is due to open in April 2022.

The AWMV’s combined medical services delivers health care to 350, 000 inhabitants and trains some 1000 nurses and medical students per year.

The new training facilities, with its practical simulations and training demonstrations will increase the student capacity and reduce the training time needed to qualify front-line medical staff for service in the community.

This type of interactive experience immerses clinicians in patient health care scenarios in a safe environment, and trains them through participation, observation, and debriefing.

The Rotary Club Beirut Cadmos supported by The Rotary Club of Camberley - UK, its international funding partner, has led the project which has benefited from a global grant from Rotary Foundation. Additional funding from the Beirut Disaster Relief Fund, and the Lebanese Rotary clubs of Aley, Aley West, Hammana Upper Metn, and Koura, and other personal donors was also received. The value of the fund is USD50,000.

AWMV is providing the renovation and additional expansion of the existing training center.

The inauguration of the completed CBTC is expected during April this year.
